This website is operated by the Miller Committee (“the Campaign,” “we,” or “us”), the committee to elect Neil Miller as State Representative for the 26th Middlesex District. This privacy policy (“Policy”) explains how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by the Miller Committee with respect to your use of websites such as this one which are operated by the Miller Committee and which display this Policy (the “Sites”), so you can make an informed decision about using the Sites. We reserve the right to change the provisions of this Policy at any time. We will alert you that changes have been made by indicating on the Policy the date it was last updated. We encourage you to review this Policy from time to time to make sure that you understand how any personal information you provide will be used.

How we collect and use information

You do not have to identify yourself or provide your name, email address, telephone number, or address to use this website.

The Miller Committee collects the following personal information from users:

The Miller Committee collects this information when you provide it to a volunteer or enter it into a form on this website. Additionally, the Miller Committee uses voter data, such as address, from voter databases that are based on publicly available voter registration information.

If you should choose to give us your name, email address, phone number, or address, you decide how much information to provide. The Miller Committee will use this information to inform you about the election and provide opportunities for you to get involved in the campaign.

The Miller Committee does not share or sell any personal information without consent, except when legally required to do so.

Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS Opt-Out

If you are receiving text messages from us and wish to stop receiving them, simply respond with either “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE” to the number from which you received the message. You can also email neil@neilmillerma.com and say that you opt out of receiving text messages. Once we receive your message, you will no longer receive further text messages from us.

Email Opt-Out

If you are receiving emails from us and wish to stop receiving them, you can respond with either “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE” to the email address that sent you the email. You can also unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email, or you can email neil@neilmillerma.com and say that you opt out of receiving email messages. Once we receive your message, you will no longer receive email messages from us.

Data security and retention

The security of your personal data is very important to us. To ensure the security of your personal data, we restrict volunteers’ access to voters’ personal data. We have enabled two-factor authentication on our voter database and for our newsletter. The Miller Committee does not address anyone or knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us by emailing neil@neilmillerma.com or by visiting our contact page.

The Miller Committee will only retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.
